Complimentary In-Home Assessment
Five One Eight Contracting's owner, Matthew Solel, will come out to your home and review your wants and needs. He will examine your home and the goals of your improvement project, while suggesting solutions and ideas on how best to move forward. Introductory budget requirements will be discussed; initial measurements will be taken and an overview of our process will be reviewed.
Preliminary Design and Plan
As soon as you have decided that Five One Eight Contracting is the right match for your project, we will establish a more in depth look at your space and remodeling goals. Architectural floor plans will be generated (if applicable), finishing levels will be discussed and more precise measurements will be taken at this time. Any anticipated challenges will be brought to light along with potential solutions. We will put together the team of required professionals, gather a list of all necessary permits (if applicable) and formulate an accurate budget and proposal for the scope of work requested.
Building Documents and Material Selection
After finalizing the design, a 3D rendering (if applicable) will be created to bring your project to life. This will give you a better idea of the space and allow you to better envision your project. We will discuss and select material, appliances and fixtures that will be included in your project. At this stage, a final budget will be discussed which will be accompanied by a detailed scope of work. If all is approved, a contract will be sent to you via email for signing and approval. A start date (if applicable) will be include on this contract.
Pre Construction Prior to the commencement of the project, we will discuss any possible tool or material storage and cover any vital information for the upcoming start. Work schedule, dust control (if needed), and any special requests will be addressed as well. Here at Five One Eight Contracting, we want to ensure the lines of communication are open, the process runs smoothly and most importantly, you are satisfied with your final product.
During Your Project Throughout the duration of the construction project, it is our commitment to you, to communicate all necessary issues and listen to all concerns and questions. We wouldn't expect you to know everything about construction, and we encourage phone calls and emails to assist with any of the unknowns. It is our promise to you, that all areas of work will be kept neat and clean. At the end of each work day, all areas will be swept and debris will be picked up and removed. We will utilize sticky mats for any drywall work, drop cloths and plastic for any painting and temporary plastic walls for dust and debris control.
End Of Project Walk through If your project is one that requires post completion/end of project items, a punch list will be generated, and any dollar amount tied to material not installed or onsite will be withheld from final payment. Payment for that material will not be expected until you are 100% satisfied that the item has been installed.
Post Construction Meeting and Documents After the project has been completed, we like to walk through the project with the homeowners, to gauge their level of satisfaction. In addition, we will organize a binder of all manuals and paperwork that has come with any new appliance, electronic device, bathroom fixture etc.. We can also provide copies of any 3D renderings you wish to save. Copies of any inspection paperwork, along with county or state paperwork will also be included.
